Notice the pattern
Make a note of which fixtures back up, how often it happens and whether the problem appears during rain or ordinary household water use. The pattern helps explain the issue, but it does not prove a cause on its own.
Deposits are only one possibility
Waste, oils and other deposits can restrict flow. Roots, damaged joints and structural defects can also contribute. A drain that improves after clearing and then blocks again may benefit from a closer inspection.
Inspect after access is restored
Once a suitable obstruction is cleared, CCTV footage may reveal the underlying pipe more clearly. Ask what can be seen, what remains inaccessible and whether the findings suggest further cleaning, repair or monitoring.
Make the repair decision from evidence
Root cutting or jetting may restore flow without sealing an entry point or fixing a defect. Where appropriate, rehabilitation can address the damaged section. The right next step depends on the actual pipe rather than the symptom alone.
